  AVAILABILITY mainly.
  Other than that, I like my women over 35. Dark hair or Red, blondes usually do nothing for me.(qualified, since talking to xena)
  I cant stand this male obsession with size 8 blonde models. How dull. I like my women flawed. Unusual faces interest me. Imperfections are good and real.
  So far as personality goes. Independant and no hangups in the bedroom.Well read. Im not interested in little squeeky, dependant women.

  maybe it is because i am left handed, first born and received contrarian ideas during my education, but i see some things differently than many here.. 1. jws a cult: i don't think they are a cult.

  i think they are a high control sect.. 2. brain washing: i don't believe that jws are brain washed.

  i think they are indoctrinated if they came in as adults, and i think they were enculcated and enculturated, if they were raised in it.. 3. disfellowshipping: everyone says how terrible and awful it is.

  Even the experts, though, cant agree what constitutes a "cult".
  So why should people on this site not disagree?

  Thing Ive learnt since reading all those cult books and mindcontrol books is everybodies indoctrinated.
  Government indoctrinates you, parents indoctrinate you, school indoctrinates you.
  Thats my opinion.
  I think theres nothing in the dubs behaviour that is not occuring in everyday life. Cultic practises are extensive, say, in the work place.
  Just in the Dubs, the practises are a bit more extreme than normal, is all.

  well and good, even more information for attacking the fundies with.
  Actually, if you just LOOK at that first page of the King James you can SEE the change Jan mentions. The "Elohist" part is much denser. Closer type. Then the text spreads out.

  clearly ( to me) the whole thing is some kind of myth about sexuality.
  Though it is contradictory in some ways because God has already commanded them to become fruitful.
  If not a sex myth..then why the necessity to cover their nakedness?
  Perhaps they did the deed in a "non proscribed" position.

  You cant demonstrate that point from the passage. You have to pull some single scripture from elsewhere in the Bible and inflict it upon the passage so as to show that Adam, dying at 930 years old died within a thousand year "day". But that "thousand year day" passage (wherever it is located)Does not say a day is a thousand years. Rather, read in context, it is a generalization showing that Gods existance is timeless.
  Certainly the sun, moon, day and night were in motion when God gave the instruction to Adam, Why would anyone assume anything other than an ordinary day in interpreting the passage?

  Again, I ask- where did the serpent lie in the passage??

  I am by no means dogmatic on this position. Its only a discussion point.Im merely reading scripture here.
  Returning to my focus, can you show me wherein there is an evidence of the Serpent lying? I speak within a LITERAL, word by word reading of the text. No fundy interpretations and insertions of things not in the text allowed.
  If he did not. By what rationale is he branded "The father of lies"?

  Let the Bible be its own expositor!
